RBL Staff to Compete in Trinidad

After many weeks of scripting and rehearsals, 60 Republic Bank employees are off to Trinidad to compete in the inter-bank talent competition themed “Painting the Town Blue’.

Lead by Debbie Stoute, Republic Bank’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, the team representing all levels within the organisation, will be competing against their colleagues from the bank’s Grenada, Guyana and host Trinidad and Tobago operations.

Ms. Stoute who is also the show’s local producer, explained the local presentation which is entitled “A Journey into the Blue”, focused on Republic Bank’s rich history from the colonial age to its current operations, a period which spans over 175 years.’  She said, “Our presentation conveys our theme via song, dance and the spoken word.”  She added, “The cast has been in rigorous rehearsals.”  Ms. Stoute explained, “The process and preparation for the regional talent shown actually began with Republic Bank’s local Talent Spectacular which was held in July.”  She added, “Our panel of judges included Merle Niles, Jenifer Sealy and Stephen Brathwaite and they chose the best performers who are now part of the final cast.”

Ms Stoute confirmed, “The show which is also open to the public is an opportunity for Republic Bank’s various branches across the Caribbean to share friendly rivalry while experiencing key aspects of each other’s culture.”
