After 2 years of internal development, WIBISCO was ready to launch its new, limited edition flavour of Tea Time cookies, called “ICE.”
The tasty new product comprised a cool, minty green cream, sandwiched between two rich dark chocolate cookies and needed an exciting campaign to differentiate the limited edition flavor. Virgo conceptualized a sleek campaign to excite the brand’s youthful core target market. The campaign employed a more edgy design style than the brand was accustomed to and incorporated social media influencer Victoria Bristol of Soulxgasms.
When launched in 2018, the product became the talk of the town across various age groups, especially on social media. The cookies flew off the shelves and WIBISCO was hard pressed to keep pace with the demand.
WIBISCO’s Brand Manager, Abigail Brown, explained that while the company always expected the new product to be successful, the overwhelming public response has surpassed their expectations. Ms. Brown said, “as soon as our merchandisers restock Tea Time ICE they disappear again.”
With so much chatter for the product online and offline by local and overseas customers and distributors Tea Time ICE’s cool won’t thaw anytime soon. As of this writing WIBISCO has extended the time of this COOL, new flavor into the first quarter of 2019.
